There’s no lack of evidence that our youth today are teetering on the edge of crisis. Their safety, and emotional and physical well-being are continually threatened by severe, ongoing stress and the socio-economic inequity that impacts our society. But there is a lack of tangible, positive plans of action that will help reverse this downhill spiral— or physical solutions that provide all children with equal access to, and opportunity for, a successful life no matter their ethnicity, background, color, or orientation.
The leadership behind the formation of Hangar2 have taken action to reverse this trend. In partnership with the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, activity is under way to repurpose an existing structure in order to provide thousands of children with equal access to the opportunities that lead to a more successful life, no matter their ethnicity, color, socio-economic background, or orientation.
